Producer Tools — Mac App

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

The short version Producer Tools does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Your audio, video, and project files never leave your device.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to Producer Tools, the macOS desktop application distributed through the Mac App Store and operated by That Sounds Hot. The web version of Producer Tools at tools.thatsoundshot.com is governed separately; this page is specifically about the desktop application.

What we don't collect

Producer Tools is designed to run entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Files you process

When you use Producer Tools to slice, chop, chain, or build kits from your audio and video files, all processing happens locally on your Mac. Files are read from the locations you select, written to the locations you select, and are never uploaded to any external service controlled by us.

Microphone, camera, and other permissions

Producer Tools may request access to specific folders or files via macOS's standard file-picker and security-scoped bookmark mechanisms — for example, when you choose a default save folder so the app remembers it across launches. This access is granted by you, scoped to the folders you pick, and used only to read or write the files you ask the app to handle. We do not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, location, or any other system-level data.

Subscriptions and purchases

Producer Tools may offer paid subscriptions via Apple's App Store using StoreKit. All payment processing, subscription management, and billing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not see, store, or have access to your credit card number, payment details, Apple ID, or billing address. To understand how Apple handles your purchase data, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Producer Tools does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app communicates only with Apple's StoreKit servers for subscription verification — which is a transaction between your Mac and Apple, not between your Mac and us.

Children's privacy

Producer Tools is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because we do not collect any personal information from anyone, we also do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws

Residents of the European Union (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), and other jurisdictions with comparable privacy laws have rights to access, correct, and delete personal data held about them. Because Producer Tools does not collect or store any personal data, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you have any questions about this, please contact us using the address below.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Producer Tools handles data — for example, if a future version of the app adds an optional feature that involves collecting some kind of information — we will update this policy, change the "Last updated" date at the top, and where practical, surface the change in the App Store release notes for that update. Continued use of the app after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
